Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate

Goju Ryu Karate, one of the four original styles of Karate, was founded by Chojun Miyagi Sensei (1888-1953). After spending many years in China studying Chinese Martial Arts, Grand-Master Miyagi returned to Okinawa to create what we now know as Okinawa Goju Ryu Karatedo. The term "Goju Ryu" translates to "Hard/Soft School" in Japanese, with "Go" meaning "Hard," "Ju" meaning "Soft," and "Ryu" meaning "School."
